The question above is asked by all of my clients and is probably one that you currently have. A financial plan
completed by Mark Freret is a specific list of recommendations that addresses your financial questions. The plan is
a typewritten document that recommends specific actions for you to take to address many of the following questions:
How much money should I have in savings and where should the money be held?
How
much should I invest for retirement or college funding and in which accounts?
Which mutual funds should
I invest in within my 401k, IRA, brokerage account, etc.?
Which type of mortgage is best for me? Should
I prepay my mortgage?
What types of insurance policies do I need?
How can I plan for the safety of my
family if I die and how can I help insure that my wishes are enacted if I'm incapacitated?
I'm
close to retirement. How should my money be invested? How much can I withdraw each year to live on?

You are probably asking some or all of these quesions yourself. These questions, in addition to others, are what
your plan is designed to answer. In a straightforward, typewritten plan, your questions in the areas of cash/flow and
savings, investments, insurance, employee benefits, retirement planning, taxation, and estate planning are answered.

A financial planner who cares about your best interests should be prepared to alert you to situations where
you need additional professional help. Situations involving taxation and estate planning are two areas of
financial planning that often require additional help. Since Mark does not receive any compensation for referrals, he
can help by recognizing such situations and referring you to other professionals. You may already be working with such
professionals as attorneys, CPAs, and insurance agents and the addition of a financial plan can simply help optimize
your work with these other professionals.
